Monika Hall

Monika is a 43 year old mother of a 20 and 14 year old.  She has been managing the studio for 4 years and has seen how pilates has changed the lives of The Absolute clients.  She wanted to be a part of the change. She became certified as a pilates instructor by the Physical Mind Institute with Maria Leone. She is very passionate about her work.  ” We must become the change we want to see” Gandhi

Valerie Volynsky

Valerie has been practicing yoga for 8 years and Pilates for 5 years.  She became certified in 2005 by Maria Leone through the Physical Mind Institute.  She also has a Pilates Method Alliance certification and continues to enroll in various Pilates course and practice Pilates and yoga regularly to be able to offer her clients a work out tailored to their needs and goals.  Valerie is an artist, having shown her oil paintings in numerous exhibits, and her other hobbies include ice skating, salsa dancing, reading and traveling.

Pennie Burnham

Pennie is 42 years old and a mother of 5 year old girl/boy twins.  She is currently teaching Gyrotonic® and certified Level 1 and Level 2 as well as certified Level 1 in Gyrokenisis (previously called yoga for dancers).  She is currently studying to teach Anursara® Yoga. Her background is in gymnastics from childhood thru her late teens.

Wendy Goldhill

Wendy is a former Broadway dancer and taught dance for many years. She is certified as a Pilates instructor through the Physical Mind Institute.  She is also certified as a Level 1 Gyrotonic® instructor.  Wendy teaches mat, pilates bar, as well as private and group classes on the reformer.

Vanessa Motta

Vanessa started her training in pilates at 13 years of age because she was a professional dancer.  After fifteen years, she decided to extend her knowledge by becoming an instructor this year.  She teaches privates, group reformer, and cardio bar.

Jo Ann Davidson

Jo Ann has been practicing pilates since 1998.  Initially she began pilates with a private instructor and then later moved on to join group pilates classes at The Absolute.  Seeing how it had become such a way of life and what it had done for her, she finally decided to share her experiences and knowledge with other people by becoming certified through the Physical Mind Institute with Maria Leone.  She saw that this was her calling!

Jess Magno

Jess has been teaching Pilates for over 4 years.  She received her certification in Cincinnati, Ohio through the Pilates Method Alliance.  After completing her MBA at Xavier University, Jess moved to L.A. in October 2009.  Although she works in marketing full-time at Procter and Gamble, her true passion is teaching.  Jess feels great pride in being able to guide students on their “Pilates journey”.

Victoria Miller

Victoria has been practicing Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, for over nineteen years.  She began teaching ten years ago and has studied extensively with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa (including substituting her classes), Los Angeles preeminent Kundalini Yoga teacher.  She curently teaches pregnancy and post-natal yoga as well as general classes for all levels of students. Victoria’s classes are healing, musical and uplifting.

Andrea Lilienfeld

Andrea has been avidly practicing yoga for two decades having discovered the healing, restorative and beneficial effects following a debilitating diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.   She is a graduate of the Anusara Teacher Training & Advanced Studies Program at City Yoga, L.A. and the Anusara Teacher Training Intensive in 2002.  In April 2004, Andrea became an Affiliated Anusara Yoga Teacher now referred to Anusara-inspired having completed over 400 hours of study, including three Teacher Trainings with John Friend, Anusara’s founder.

Tim Waters

Tim is a world spiritual traveler who has studied the diverse wisdom traditions of Asia.  He also has over 25 years experience in therapeutic massage to complementfis certification as an Anusara® Yoga teacher.

Judy Narvid

Judy has been teaching yoga since 1979.  She is certified in both the Anusara and Iyengar methods of hatha yoga.  Judy has studied extensively with John Friend, the founder of Anusara yga.  Also she has studied with master Iyengar teachers, Mary Dunn, Ramanand Patel, and Judith Lasater.  Her approach is to teach all levels of students to experience awareness beyond just the body to include the mind, and spirit.  Aligning the body with mindfulness helps to quiet the mind and moves the awareness deeper into self.

Shelley Piser

Shelley has been studying and teaching yoga since 1972. Her style is inspired by 30 years of extensive study in Hatha yoga, Zen Buddhism and meditation as well as her deep understanding in the art of Japanese healing. She emphasizes breath awarenes, proper alignment and the poetry of Posture.  Her classes are inspiring, creative, therapeutic, and fun.  Equally available to beginners as well as more experienced students.

Crystal D’Angora

Crystal began her yoga education as a committed student at City Yoga in 1995.  She then went on to study with Shiva Rea and Gurnukh Kaur Kahlsa.  She received her Kundalini Yoga certification in 2003 and continues to create a safe and fun environment for students to explore and express their unique physical and mental gifts.

Lauren O’Malley

Lauren stumbled upon Kundalini yoga at a regular old gym when she was 20 years old, and fell head over heels in love with it!  As time moved forward she tried her hand at many things, but realized her true calling was in teaching the practice she loved!  She received her training at Golden Bridge Yoga in Hollywood with Gurmukh, Gurushabd, Harijiwas, Tej, and many other amazing teachers along the way.

Coach Neda

Fitness has always been a part of Coach Neda’s life.  She’s always been an athlete with an exuberant personality.  She is known for her passion in helping people achieve their individual goals, motivating people to feel better from the inside and out.  Coach Neda is a proud mother and wife.  She is certified through The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as well as Zumba Certified.

Ziggy Cornegan

Siegfried Cornegan is a member of the The Bronx Boys Est. 1975.  Currently the President of Chapter 8, which consist of other Bboys in California, Oklahoma, Texas.  Began his career in 1977, was mentored and taught by the late Mr. Wayne Frost aka Frosty Freeze of the Rock Steady Crew/Zulu Kingz.  Even when active in the military as well as a Persian Gulf/Iraqi Freedom veteran kept competing and teaching the foundations of Bboying around the work (named because the B stands for Bronz which is native to that city in New York.  He is also the founder of the worldwide organiztion call Odori 73.
