Pilates simultaneously strengthens, stretches and tones the body, improving posture, balance and poise. Pilates, coined “The Thinking Exercise”, requires concentration, control and precision to locate and strengthen the smaller core muscles while the larger muscles become increasingly toned and sleek.

Pilates Mat
Pilates is a method which aims to create a balance in the body. Pilates Mat is a group class taught on the floor, utilizing non-impact, mind-body exercises that increase the body’s range of motion and flexibility. This exercise program helps develop core muscular stability in the trunk and joints, challenges the body’s neuromuscular system for better coordination, and increases oxygen capacity using learned breathing techniques.

Pilates Reformer
Pilates Reformer classes use the equipment developed by founder Joseph Pilates to achieve the body’s maximum potential for fitness, strength and balance. These classes are taken with an instructor in private, semi-private or group classes. Group classes have various skill levels from beginners to advanced.

Springboard
Springboard classes use all of the Pilates fundamentals of core control and strengthening with the challenging resistance of the Springboard. A fantastic core workout, Springboard can be done in conjunction with other Pilates training. Available in private, semi-private and group classes.

No prior experience is necessary to begin enjoying the healthful benefits from Pilates.
